To Use the As Configured Definition Capabilities
- Open the serialized item you want in the Content pane.

Expand the As Configured topic.
The left hand side pane contains a graphical position structure. Each defined position is represented by either an empty position icon or a filled position icon. In the image above positions P2 and P3 are empty.
The pane along the bottom of the topic lists the alternative physical items that can be fitted into these positions.
The right hand pane lists available serial numbers that can be fitted into a particular position. To display the list highlight the position and also highlight the alternative physical item(s).

To fit a serialized item into a defined position, highlight the position, select the appropriate serial number, and then click the Move Serialized Number to Position icon.
The Fit Serial dialog opens.
- (Optional) Define a reason, remark, and / or relate a document to this move transaction.
- Click Fit.

To remove a serialized item from a defined position, highlight the position and click the Remove Serialized Number from Position icon.
The Remove Serial dialog opens.
- (Optional) Define a reason, remark, and / or relate a document to this move transaction.
- Click Remove.
